GETTING A WHIFF OF BAD BREATH FROM YOUR FURRY FRIEND?
Same as ourselves, bad breath is nothing to ignore. That odor might signify a serious health risk, with the potential to damage not only your pet's teeth and gums, but its internal organs as well. Studies have proven that good oral health has the potential to add YEARS onto the life a pet To address oral health care for pets, we are able to provide complete dental prophylaxis care to dogs and cats as well as dental radiography and dental surgery if indicated. Dental prophylaxis is similar to the teeth cleanings performed for hygiene appointments with your own dentist, but are typically much more involved due to our pet's unwillingness to brush twice a day every day! First we scale off all of the crusted-on dental tarter and plaque from the teeth crowns and under the gums, and then we polish each tooth to restore that smooth surface to the enamel. Like ourselves, it is recommended that adult pets get a professional teeth cleaning at least once a year to keep their teeth and gums healthy. Periodontal disease is irreversible, so prevention is the key for long term health! |
